So, it is time for a little bit about me, this blog and why it's important. This is a blog all about immac-ness. Immac is my little term of endearment for what I feel sums up a style and the way that I like to be. Immac is short for "immaculate"; a look where not a hair is out of place, slick and exquisitely presented elegant chic. Basically, concours condition. So I will be sharing my tips, techniques, shortcuts and ideas on being an immac woman, whatever the circumstances. And why, you may ask, is my voice one worth listening to on such matters....Well, I'm a 36 year old woman of substance; the mother of a 7 year old; a real person. And in being each of those things I think there is a need to look and be immac in the way you do them. So you'll be hearing from me about looking your best in 3 minutes to do a 7am school run, quick workout routines in small hotel rooms...all the way through to getting prepared for the very biggest of days...While I might spend 3 hours getting ready on a Friday morning for brunch (remember, I am in the Emirates after all), having planned my outfit 3 weeks in advance and having spent the GDP of an indebted Southern European country on my dress and shoes; I want to share with you how to get this look both when you have the time and money and also when you don't....for example, how to rock up at the school gates looking like you've spent the afternoon at the salon when actually you've just rushed from work, you've been using dry shampoo for the past 3 days and you were awake half of last night with your 2 year old (been there, done that). If you're interested in the immac lifestyle: loving life, looking your best at all times and doing it, no matter what is going on in the background, in an insouciant way (looking at all times like you know what you're doing)...I may just have the special immac sauce for you. As we get to know each other you'll see what I mean...come along and learn about immac...and learn about me a bit along the way.
